Careers and Options Evening

Hillingdon Manor School hosted its annual Careers and Options Evening on the 5th of October. This year’s event stands out as the largest one yet, with both internal and external settings. The dedicated staff at Hillingdon Manor School have invested significant effort to ensure they could address all inquiries.

Throughout the event, parents had the opportunity to gather information about the courses currently available at the school, explore the options for the upcoming academic year, and engage with external institutions to learn about possibilities beyond Hillingdon Manor School.

We are delighted to report that this year’s event boasted the highest level of participation, and the feedback from parents have been overwhelmingly positive.

Furthermore, we had thirteen external Further Education settings and Training Providers, ranging from mainstream settings, to residential settings. Students and their families were also able to meet with Apprenticeship Providers and three different providers of Supported Internships. We also had a number of Local Authorities attend the event. In preparation for thinking about transitions, some students took part in interactive workshops during the day with external companies “Aim A Little Higher” and “Amazing Apprenticeships”.
